Established in 2003 as a registered Tanzanian Non-Governmental Organization, KPAP has dedicated itself to enhancing the working conditions and overall welfare of the mountain crew, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those it serves.

1. Budgeting & Money Management: Instilling financial management skills to guide porters in handling their earnings wisely and securing their financial future.
2. Alternative Income Generating Projects: Empowering the mountain crew to explore alternative sources of income and embrace entrepreneurial opportunities.
3. Village Savings & Loan Association: Introducing the concept of savings and loans, fostering responsible financial practices within the community.
4. Best Practices in Organic Farming: Sharing sustainable farming techniques, providing a platform for porters to connect with the land and cultivate organic produce.
5. Vaccine Education Class: Dispelling myths and raising awareness about the importance of vaccination, contributing to a healthier workforce.
6. Leave No Trace (LNT) Environmental Care Awareness: Cultivating a sense of environmental responsibility, ensuring the preservation of the natural beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro.
7. Training of 15 Porters as LNT Instructors: A groundbreaking achievement, as porters are certified as LNT teachers for the first time, further promoting environmental stewardship.
